Meet the Bus Program

The City of Laguna Beach offers a tide pool education program for public, private, home school, as well as after school groups. Marine Safety staff greet the students at the Heisler Park Amphitheater where they receive a lecture about California's Marine Protected Areas, proper tide pooling behavior, and personal safety when visiting the tide pools. After the lecture, staff take the students to the Monument Point Tide Pools where they apply their knowledge. Staff educate the students about the unique suite of adaptations the wildlife possesses to survive in the rocky intertidal habitat.

Instructors can plan on the program running for approximately two hours. The program costs $35.00 per group of 30 people. Children's safety is the top priority of the program. Trips may be cancelled due to poor weather or large surf. If you are interested in learning more please fill out the form below. We look forward to seeing you!
