Public Invited to Parking Workshop on March 8

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – The public is invited to a workshop on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, to give input on parking solutions and help formulate the framework of the Parking Master Plan Study. This study will present an overall evaluation of existing parking conditions and identify recommendations regarding future parking management and infrastructure options for the City of Laguna Beach.

The Parking Master Plan Subcommittee of the City Council has been meeting to formulate a framework to help identify the City’s parking issues, develop a scope of work to study the problem, and create recommendations to improve parking conditions in the City. On Tuesday, March 8, the public is encouraged to attend a workshop to share thoughts and input on the following issues:

  • Parking impacts on roads and local neighborhoods
  • Lack of convenient parking
  • City walkability
  • Inefficiencies due to decentralized parking
  • Land availability for new parking infrastructure
  • Historical impacts of small-scale pattern of development on parking
