This week, the California Coastal Commission unanimously approved the City of Laguna Beach Fuel Modification permit for zones 10 and 11 (Driftwood and Barracuda).

Coastal Commission leadership expressed that though the City's Fuel Modification Program is costly, it is the most environmentally sensitive program they have seen and would like to see it be adopted and used as a model throughout the state.
