Shaws Cove is at the base of Fairview Street and is approximately 500 feet in length.

Popular activities are swimming, boogie boarding, skin diving, and scuba diving. (skimboarding is not allowed). This beach is secluded, and most of it's visitors are locals or regulars.

Hazardous conditions may exist throughout this cove. Under high surf conditions, the point to the north is especially dangerous to people walking to and from Crescent Bay. The surf is often a mild shore break, however, causing only small rip currents to form along the rocky points.

If you do visit this area please do not take, collect or disturb any of the marine life. The taking or collecting of rocks, shells, or marine life is prohibited. Fishing is not allowed at this beach.
