Nomination Period:

Opens July 15, 2024 at 8 AM

Closes August 9, 2024 at 5:00 PM
 
Filing deadline will be extended to August 14, 2024, if nomination papers for an incumbent officer of the City are not filed by the August 9, 2024, filing deadline. This extension period is not applicable to incumbents.
 
An appointment to receive and/or file nomination papers is required. To schedule an appointment during the nomination period, please call the City Clerk's Office at (949) 497-0705.

Candidates are asked to carefully review the Candidate Handbook prior to pulling nomination papers. (The link to the handbook will be available prior to the opening of the nomination period.) Additional information and materials will be provided to candidates during the in-person meeting.

To be eligible to vote at the November 5, 2024 election, you must be registered to vote no later than Monday, October 21, 2024. For more information regarding voter registration or to obtain a vote-by-mail ballot, visit the County Registrar of Voter's website.
