The City hosts a series of annual beach volleyball tournaments at Main Beach.

The Annual Laguna Open Volleyball Tournament at Main Beach co-hosted by the City of Laguna Beach in partnership with the AVP, the CBVA, and Laguna Beach locals is this weekend September 6-8, 2024. Play starts at 8 a.m. each day.

 The Laguna Open is back on the main schedule of the AVP for the first time since 1991, and many of the top pro AVP and CBVA players will battle it out for $25,000 in prize money starting with Friday's qualifier and then Saturday and Sunday's main draw.  The finals will be held Sunday starting at noon. 

 In addition to the main schedule, the locals only Battle of the Beaches Four-Person City Championship will be held on Sunday with pool play at 10 a.m. and the finals at 2 p.m. on the center court (south of the lifeguard tower).  Come cheer Victoria Beach, Three Arch Bay, Emerald Bay and Main Beach as they battle for bragging rights.

 The Laguna Open is free to all, bring a beach chair and come join the fun.
