Public Trees

The City of Laguna Beach inspects and maintains over 3,000 trees located within public parks, City owned property, and the public right of way.  This includes regular pruning to remove dead branches, providing the appropriate clearance to buildings or structures, and the removal of trees that are dead, diseased and/or deemed hazardous.  After a tree has been removed, a replacement tree is planted to maintain the City's urban canopy coverage. For additional information, please review the City's Tree Removal and Planting Policy for Public Trees.

Landscape Maintenance

This division has 12 employees that are managed by the City's Landscape Maintenance Supervisor.  This team maintains the City’s parks, beach access stairways, downtown area and City maintained gardens.  The Supervisor also oversees contracts for turf mowing in the City's parks, landscape maintenance at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Senior Center, and the City's view parks.
